Each CRBN2 headphone is hand-assembled and tested in California by electrostatic specialists to ensure the highest standards of quality. Luxurious materials, such as leather earpads and a suspension headband strap, provide long-lasting comfort for hours of uninterrupted listening. Weighing just 480 grams and free from heavy magnets, CRBN2's electrostatic design is lightweight and comfortable for extended wear.

CRBN2 is compatible with all 580-volt bias electrostatic amplifiers, commonly known as "Stax Pro Bias," allowing flexibility for audio enthusiasts who already own electrostatic amplifiers. This ensures that users can seamlessly integrate CRBN2 into their existing high-end audio systems.

From Medical Innovation to Audiophile Perfection

The CRBN line originated from a collaboration with Prof. Mark S. Cohen, Ph.D., and his team at UCLA’s School of Medicine to create headphones for use in MRI machines. The powerful magnetic fields in MRI environments required a unique, non-ferrous driver design, leading to the development of the carbon-nanotube film-based electrostatic driver. This groundbreaking technology has been adapted and refined in CRBN2 to deliver one of the most accurate and immersive audio experiences available today.
